The paid holiday explains which public holidays the company pays employees to take. It could include rules on taking a day off in lieu of a public holiday. The policy includes information for shift workers and allowances when employees must continue to work on a public holiday. Employees and employers should agree on when the employee takes paid holidays that are part of the annual leave allotment.
