Downloading is the process of copying a file from a remote computer or server to your computer. The internet functions like a cable connecting the two computers.

How Does it Work?

It's just like copying a file from a floppy disk or other device to your computer's hard drive. In this case the internet is used as the "cable" connecting the two computers and transmitting the information. A software utility called a "Wizard" allows you to specify where on your computer you want to place the file .
